The original Aputure Fresnel was an integral part of the filmmakers’ equipment. But that was not enough for us – we wanted to achieve perfection. So, after feedback from users themselves and innovative research and design, we created Fresnel 2X. The new design features dual optical elements, a larger 6″ front Fresnel lens, improved ventilation and minimized light leaks, making this the ultimate Fresnel accessory with a Bowens mount.
Dual-lens design
Fresnel 2X features a dual-lens design. The rear lens focuses and magnifies the beam by sending it to the larger, 6″ diameter front Fresnel lens, achieving zero light loss. This design with our dual-lens optical system makes the Fresnel 2X twice as powerful as the original Aputure Fresnel and makes the 120D II up to 14 times brighter, giving your lighting equipment a new lease of life.
New rotating design
Using a new rotating barrel design, the Fresnel 2X offers intuitive user handling, similar to the camera lens. Smooth focus variation allows for precise optimization of the angle of their light beam, allowing you to cast point or wide light on your subject with a simple rotation.
Flexibility and ease of transport
Fresnel 2X is versatile in every situation. With its Bowens-type mount, this Fresnel can be mounted on a wide range of luminaires. The 7″ diameter front ring accepts Aputure blades, which means your creative possibilities are endless. A carrying case is provided so you can easily take the Fresnel 2X with you wherever you need to take your shots.
