Aputure Light Dome III Softbox. Aputure’s Light Dome III is a 16-sided, 89 cm diameter soft box that produces circular lighting suitable for portraits, close-ups of people, interviews and fashion. It offers options to modify the quality of the lighting and broad compatibility with Aputure’s luminaires, from the Light Storm series to the Amaran 150c and 300c, as well as with many other manufacturers’ luminaires using the popular Bowens mount.
Aputure’s Light Dome III is equipped with an upgraded double-sided retractable and quick-release mechanism that speeds up set-up time, providing you with professional-quality portrait light in seconds.
The sixteen-sided parabolic shape of the Light Dome III is supported and reinforced by 16 steel support rods, which lock into place once you push the arm down with the widely compatible Bowens mount, saving valuable time in the shooting process. This particular shape produces uniform light quality for soft, circular lighting on any subject. Particularly in the eyes of portrait subjects, this softbox creates circular reflections that mimic natural sunlight and add even more vibrancy to your shot.
The interior of the softbox features a silver coating to maximize the light source’s performance, while the package comes with 1.5 stop and 2.5 stop diffusion sheets that fit on the Light Dome III’s front panel, as well as a 40° fabric honeycomb mesh for even more flexibility.Aputure Light Dome III Softbox – Technical characteristics
